Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Recruit Mint. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a scheduled preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and maximize equipment efficiency.
  • Oversee maintenance projects and collaborate with production to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and budget requirements.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot equipment failures, developing solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Manage and document maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and work order history.
  • Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and ensure timely repairs.
  • Perform PLC repairs and updates.
  • Collaborate with production to ensure equipment meets operational requirements and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with a relevant engineering qualification.
  • Experience working with PLC systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a methodical and analytical approach to troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of current environmental and health and safety regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of up to £45,000 DOE.
  • A flexible dayshift schedule, Monday to Friday, with 40 hours per week.
  • Occasional overnight call-outs, approximately 1-2 per month.
