About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Labcorp in Eye. As a key member of our integrated maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, fault finding, and installation work on mechanical and electrical building services and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in a collaborative maintenance team environment
  • Utilize a range of mechanical and electrical services tools and equipment
  • Read and interpret mechanical and electrical services drawings and schematics
  • Apply fault finding procedures and equipment manufacturer manuals to identify and rectify faults
  • Operate and repair steam boiler plant and associated steam services
  • Conduct water treatment tests
  • Inspect and repair hot water heating systems and domestic water systems
  • Diagnose and repair electrical equipment and installations in accordance with current regulations
  • Operate, inspect, and repair compressed air plant and installations, pumping, and extract systems
  • Replace and adjust belt drive systems, including pulleys and bearings
  • Work on drainage systems
  • Diagnose and repair controls, including actuators and Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Perform welding using gas or electric methods
  • Install copper, plastic, or steel pipes using appropriate jointing techniques
  • Calibrate and commission equipment to standard operating procedures

Requirements
  • BTEC, City & Guilds, or Apprenticeship in Maintenance, Electrical, or a related field
  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Residency within 45 minutes of Eye due to on-call requirements
