About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a good Ofsted-rated school in the Leyland area. The successful candidate will work closely with a KS2 student in a mainstream classroom setting, providing individualized support and developing a behaviour support plan with the school SENCO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students struggling with behaviour management
  • Participate in pastoral interventions with SEN and SEMH students
  • Collaborate with the school SENCO to develop a behaviour support plan
  • Ensure safeguarding requirements are met in a school setting
  • Utilize knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and phonics schemes

Requirements:

  • Experience working with SEN students and transferable skills
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and protocols
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

What We Offer:

  • PAYE rates of £13.50 per hour
  • Weekly pay through school timesheets
  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday
  • Immediate start following registration with Teaching Personnel
