Student Development Officer

Step Teachers is seeking a Student Development Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to students with SEN, helping them develop essential life skills and achieve academic success. You will work closely with class teachers and external professionals to develop tailored support plans, ensuring each student receives the necessary assistance.
Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individualized support to students with SEN, promoting independence and confidence.
• Assist class teachers in developing and implementing lesson plans tailored to student needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to implement tailored support plans for students with SEN.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour, contributing to comprehensive assessments and reports.
Requirements:
• Previous experience working as a Student Development Officer or similar role is preferred but not essential.
• A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a patient and empathetic approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
• Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in different educational settings.
