Store Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Supervisor to join our team at Poundland. As a Store Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store, providing excellent customer service, and leading a team of colleagues to achieve sales targets and store objectives.
As a Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures, stock management, and cash handling.
- Leading and motivating a team of colleagues to achieve sales targets and store objectives.
- Providing excellent customer service, responding to customer queries, and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Monitoring and maintaining store standards, including visual merchandising, stock levels, and store cleanliness.
- Dealing with deliveries, stock receipts, and stock discrepancies.
- Adhering to cash handling and security procedures, including the handling of cash, credit card transactions, and the use of the EPOS system.
- Communicating with colleagues, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Planning and organizing yourself and others to achieve store objectives and targets.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in a retail environment, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and store objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Knowledge of cash handling and security procedures, including the handling of cash, credit card transactions, and the use of the EPOS system.
