Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Manager to lead our team in Paignton. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving store performance, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Lead by example, inspire and motivate retail colleagues to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service.
- Store Operations: Ensure the store is well-organized, clean, and secure, with a focus on maintaining high standards of housekeeping, merchandising, and stock levels.
- Customer Service: Foster a positive and welcoming store environment, ensuring that customers receive exceptional service and support.
- Financial Management: Review sales figures daily, monitor cash office monies, and ensure all monies are banked and ready for authorized collection.
- Inventory Management: Liaise with buyers on stock issues, ensure all promotional items are effectively displayed, and monitor stock deliveries and movements.
- Health and Safety: Comply with all legal and company health and safety regulations, ensuring the safe use of machinery, electrical equipment, and manual handling.
- Personnel Management: Organize and monitor staff rotas, ensure sufficient management and supervisor cover, and maintain staff performance and motivation.
Requirements:
- Minimum 18 months experience in a similar high-pressure customer-focused role.
- Proven track record of achieving results and meeting targets.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
