About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Pathology Education Facilitator for Blood Sciences at North West London Pathology.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about training and development, with a strong background in a relevant discipline related to Blood Sciences.

You will be responsible for designing, managing, and facilitating delivery of training within your area of focus, as well as supporting content development for practical skills, workshops, and e-learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Specialist scientist training across Blood Sciences
  • On the job competency training for your area of focus
  • Support wider training programmes as part of the Training Academy, with a particular focus on training within Blood Sciences disciplines

You will work closely with colleagues to co-ordinate programme delivery, improve trainee and laboratory experiences, retention, and standards of work.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • MSc or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • Demonstrable relevant experience post HCPC registration in Transfusion sciences, Haematology, or Biochemistry
  • HCPC Registration

Desirable qualifications include a Training Qualification and IBMS Specialist portfolio in Transfusion sciences, Haematology, or Biochemistry.

Skills and Abilities
  • Practical analytical skills associated with diagnostic laboratory work
  • Ability to show flexibility by performing multiple tasks
  • Excellent IT skills, with experience of Microsoft Office/ Excel
  • Ability to deal with any information sensitively and confidentially
