Job Description

About the Role

Keltbray Infrastructure Services is seeking a highly skilled Document Controller to support our Transmission projects in the UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all documentation is accurately controlled, up-to-date, and easily accessible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with project teams to ensure they have a thorough understanding of document control procedures and provide training as required.
  • Identify contractual requirements related to document control and ensure compliance.
  • Continuously improve and enhance document control procedures and systems.
  • Contribute to the development, documentation, and maintenance of the Information Management Plan to meet relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Provide feedback to the Design Manager on documentation issues.
  • Manage document storage systems (SharePoint, Autodesk BIM 360 Field, BIM 360 Docs) to ensure efficient access to documentation.
  • Collect and register technical documents, such as drawings and blueprints, in the Keltbray system.
  • Review and update documents for maintenance and quality control.
  • Keep team members informed about new document versions and access procedures.
  • Ensure documentation is issued and maintained in a controlled and accessible manner.
  • Assign document numbers to relevant parties in accordance with project requirements.
  • Quality-check incoming documents (e.g., from designers) in line with the document control procedure.
  • Ensure documentation contains relevant metadata for traceability, retrieval, and audit purposes.
  • Support the review and approval process, including comment collation, distribution, and close-out.
  • Support the implementation of other relevant procedures (e.g., TQ/RFI Database).
