Job Title: Perinatal Mental Health Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Perinatal Mental Health Specialist. The successful candidate will have experience in working with new mothers and families, providing mental health support and care.

Main Duties:

  1. Provide specialist mental health care and support to women experiencing significant mental health difficulties associated with the perinatal period.
  2. Undertake assessments in various settings, focusing on risk assessment, robust mental health care planning, and safeguarding.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues in maternity services, health visiting, children's centres, and children's services.

Person Specification:

  • Educated to diploma/degree level and registered with an appropriate professional body (e.g., Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, Registered General Nurse).
  • Training to level 3 in Safeguarding Children and Young People: roles and competencies for Healthcare Staff or willingness to undertake training.

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.

Location: Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Macclesfield, SK11 8QA.
