Job Overview

Nescot, a renowned educational institution, is seeking an exceptional Progress Coach to join its Plumbing Apprenticeship team. This role will play a vital part in supporting the progress of apprentices enrolled in the Plumbing Apprenticeship programme.

About the Role

The Progress Coach will work closely with lecturers and employers to ensure effective communication and successful learning outcomes for apprentices. Key responsibilities include carrying out regular progress reviews, monitoring attendance, and facilitating communication between stakeholders.

  1. Organise and liaise with the lecturer and employer to carry out bi-semesterly progress reviews for first-year plumbing apprentices.
  2. Check attendance for all plumbing apprentices when on-site at Nescot and communicate back to the employer if absent from class.
  3. Carry out additional progress reviews for other plumbing apprentices in years 2, 3, and 4 as necessary.
  4. Monitor and maintain accurate records of the first-year plumbing apprentices' progress and achievement.
  5. Facilitate effective communication between apprentices, employers, and College staff, ensuring timely exchange of information and addressing any issues or queries.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a skilled communicator with excellent organisational skills. A qualification in electrical installation or another construction trade would be advantageous.
