Progress Coach in Plumbing

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Plumbing Apprenticeship team as a full-time Progress Coach. This role is ideal for those who may wish to pursue assessing and/or lecturing in the future.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting and monitoring the progress of apprentices enrolled in the plumbing Apprenticeship programme, taking key responsibility for the first-year apprentices.

About the Role:
  • You will be responsible for carrying out the first-year progress reviews and serving as a key liaison between the employer, the apprentice, and the College, ensuring effective communication and successful learning outcomes for the apprentice.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a good communicator are essential for this role, preferably with a qualification in electrical installation or another construction trade.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Organise and liaise with the lecturer and employer to carry out progress reviews every 10-12 weeks for all first-year plumbing apprentices.
  • Check attendance for all plumbing apprentices when on site at College and communicate back to the employer if absent from class.
  • Carry out additional progress reviews for other plumbing apprentices in years 2, 3, and 4 as necessary.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of the first-year plumbing apprentices' progress and achievement.
  • Facilitate effective communication between apprentices, employers, and College staff ensuring timely exchange of information and addressing any issues or queries.
