Job Title: Financial Planning Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Analyst to join our team at Marks Sattin. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a suite of daily and weekly KPIs specific to various waste processing lines and vehicle types.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with operations to develop and maintain a suite of daily and weekly KPIs specific to various waste processing lines and vehicle types
  • Work closely with finance to ensure waste revenues and costs are reconciled and accounted
  • Support accounting and reporting processes, including month-end and year-end processes, as required
  • Conduct variance analysis, including tracking of actual and forecast performance against key benchmarks
  • Prepare financial analysis versus competitor and industry benchmarks
  • Manage the cost-efficient waste flow within the business
  • Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, providing meaningful variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario analysis, as required
  • Develop a reporting suite using Power BI to assist key stakeholders in management of waste flows
  • Assist with a broad range of ad hoc projects, including finance projects and other commercial projects, as required
Requirements:
  • Experience of Commercial Finance/FP&A activity
  • Ability to build strong relationships with employees across multiple business areas and have excellent influencing skills
  • Strong analytical skills, including using Excel and other systems to examine large datasets
