About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Analyst to join our Financial Services Finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of financial plans that meet the strategic goals of The Very Group.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning and analysis, with experience in developing strategic business plans and financial models. They will be able to work closely with senior management to identify key business drivers and develop financial plans that meet the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation of Five Year Plans, Budgets & Rolling Forecasts.
  • Develop financial models that are fit for purpose, with a focus on financial control, data integrity, compliance with financial accounting standards, reliability, and robustness.
  • Work with management across the Group to develop business cases and provide financial modelling support, challenging assumptions and identifying risks to regulatory requirements and business targets.
  • Provide commercial insight into the drivers of FS performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and developing recommendations for senior business leaders.
  • Support ongoing process improvements and ad hoc analysis, interacting with various management levels, including Exec.
About You
  • A qualified accountant or part-qualified applicant with exceptional skills and experience.
  • Strong financial modelling experience and a willingness to learn and develop financial modelling skills.
  • A self-starter with excellent stakeholder relationships and the ability to communicate complex financial matters in simple terms.
  • First-class analytical skills, with the ability to interpret critical information and data.
  • Able to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and navigating complex and demanding business environments.
