About the Role

We're recruiting a Financial Planning Analyst to work in our Financial Services Finance team. The successful candidate will support the delivery of financial plans for Financial Services that meet the strategic goals for the Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic business plans with the leadership team and senior managers to support The Very Group's strategy.
  • Work with management across the Group to develop business cases and provide financial modelling support.
  • Ensure financial models are fit for purpose, with financial control and data integrity, and compliance with financial accounting standards.
  • Understand the commercial drivers of the FS performance to provide commercial insight.
  • Advising senior business leaders on commercial implications of strategic decisions, new initiatives, historic trends, and current events affecting group financial performance.
Requirements
  • Financial modelling experience.
  • Possess a willingness to learn and develop financial modelling skills.
  • Technically excellent with the ability to deal with complexity and communicate complex financial matters in simple terms.
  • First-class analytical skills with the ability to interpret critical information and data.
  • The ability to navigate and thrive successfully through a complex and demanding business.
