NHS Healthcare Role

We are recruiting an experienced Emergency Care Practitioner to join our team at The Birches Medical Centre and Martlesham Heath Surgery.

This role requires a skilled professional who can deliver patient-centered care and enhance primary care clinical skills.

The successful candidate will assess patients daily, using their expertise and judgment to diagnose and treat minor injuries. They will also conduct face-to-face consultations, refer patients when necessary, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Consult with patients or their representatives on a daily basis
  2. Gather comprehensive patient histories during consultations, including physical examinations when required
  3. Apply expert knowledge and clinical judgment to identify potential diagnoses
  4. Develop and implement treatment plans, referring patients to secondary care when necessary
  5. Prescribe medication, if authorized, in line with local formularies and practice guidelines
Requirements:

To be eligible for this role, you must have:

  1. Experience working within Primary Care or GP Practice
  2. Specialism in long-term condition management (desirable but not essential)
  3. Ability to work independently as a non-medical prescriber

A DBS check is required for this position under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975.

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
