Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled dietitian to join our team as a Care Homes/Community Specialist Dietitian in East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with care homes, community services, and healthcare providers to deliver high-quality nutrition services. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing evidence-based nutrition programs, providing education and training to healthcare professionals, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also possess strong clinical knowledge and experience in community and primary care settings.

As a Care Homes/Community Specialist Dietitian, you will play a key role in improving the health and wellbeing of older adults and individuals with complex needs. You will work closely with care home staff, GPs, and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized nutrition plans and provide expert advice on food and nutrition-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement evidence-based nutrition programs for care homes and community services

  • Conduct nutritional assessments and provide personalized nutrition plans for older adults and individuals with complex needs

Requirements:

  • BSc Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working in community and primary care settings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong clinical knowledge and experience in dietetics
