HR Generalist Specialist

Are you a seasoned HR professional seeking a new challenge? We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our THC Recruitment team.
Salary: £32,500 - £37,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + car and excellent benefits package.
About the Role:
- This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced commercial environment, providing a comprehensive HR service to all staff members.
- You will be reporting directly to the HR Senior Specialist, ensuring the successful implementation of the company's HR Strategy and delivering exceptional first-class HR service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the HR team with recruitment activities, including candidate sourcing, arranging interviews, and data retention.
- Completing pre-employment checks, reference checks, and ongoing monitoring of right-to-work checks.
Employee Relations:
- Assisting with the disciplinary process, including preparation of investigation paperwork.
- Liaising with medical practitioners, where applicable, and arranging welfare visits.
- Providing guidance in line with company policies/procedures to the management team.
General Administration & Regulatory Reporting:
- Updating procedures and processes to ensure compliance with UK legislative changes.
- Developing the HR Database to enable the production of management information.
- Completing general administration tasks for regulatory reporting/first-level controls/SM&CR.
- Supporting departmental and organisational objectives by completing routine/ad-hoc projects and initiatives.
- Supporting the roll-out of new and updated policies/procedures.
- Monitoring staff wellbeing, attendance, and productivity – requesting additional documentation as required.
- Assisting the HR team with the arrangement of training activities.
Payroll:
- Assisting in the administration of payroll information for monthly payroll.
- Managing monthly exceptions, including fuel card deductions, overtime, starters, leavers, personal detail changes, contractual changes, bonus payments, holiday pay, etc.
- Demonstrating self-motivation, organisation, and flexibility, with the ability to meet competing demands while managing your own workload and delivering high-quality work to tight deadlines.
Requirements:
- Good generalist HR skills gained in a fast-paced commercial/finance organisation.
- Computer literate, with Microsoft Excel skills to an advanced level and familiarity with Iris Cascade, Concur, and ADP would be advantageous.
- Previous HR experience, including payroll, health and safety, HR systems/databases, employee relations, and recruitment and selection, would be desirable.
