We are seeking a skilled SEN Teaching Assistant Lead to join our team at Teaching Personnel in Christchurch, Dorset.

Job Summary:

This role involves supporting students with SEMH needs and disabilities in a pupil referral unit. As a Teaching Assistant Lead, you will work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies that promote academic and social growth.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children or adults with SEN needs and disabilities, as well as high expectations for progress, attainment, and behavior. Emotional resilience is essential in this challenging yet rewarding role.

Responsibilities:
  • Support students with SEN needs and disabilities, particularly those with SEMH
  • Set high expectations for student progress, attainment, and behavior
  • Demonstrate emotional resilience when working with challenging behaviors and attitudes

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Please note that this is a temporary position, with the option to become permanent in some cases.
