About this Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team in Bournemouth. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a mainstream primary school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with SEND, focusing on literacy development and overcoming learning barriers.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create a safe and stimulating learning environment.
  • Develop strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive educational experience.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Proven experience working with students with SEND, preferably in a teaching assistant role.
  • Ability to lead literacy sessions and develop reading, writing, and comprehension skills in students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Education or a related field.
Working Conditions and Salary

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $35,000 - $45,000 per annum, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will be based in Bournemouth, working Monday to Friday with potential for a permanent position.
