Job Description

Join our dedicated team at Vision for Education - Southampton as a skilled Academic Support Teacher for Children with Autism. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), fostering positive relationships, and contributing to the school's vision to improve educational outcomes.

Main Duties:
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans to meet the unique needs of students with ASD.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and families to ensure consistent support and a cohesive approach to education.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in Special Educational Needs through ongoing professional development.

Competitive Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Have a proven track record of working with children with Special Educational Needs, especially those with ASD.
  • Be able to tailor teaching approaches to meet individual student needs.
  • Demonstrate empathy, patience, and a resilient approach to teaching.
