**Job Title:** Autism Support Professional
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Professional to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Specialist School providing tailored support to students with Autism and social, emotional and mental health needs, we are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
In this role, you will provide one-to-one and small group support to students with Autism and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, assisting in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies. You will also support students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities, fostering a positive and engaging learning atmosphere.
To be successful in this position, you must have previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs, a strong understanding of Autism and its impact on learning and behavior, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and resilience in supporting students with diverse needs. Additionally, you will require an Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
