About this Care Home Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Care Assistant in Edinburgh. In this rewarding role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional care services to residents in a safe and respectful environment. If you are passionate about delivering high-quality support and making a real difference in people's lives, we want to hear from you.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting clients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Providing assistance with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
  • Fostering positive relationships with clients through friendly conversation, companionship, and empathetic listening.
  • Engaging in recreational activities and hobbies to promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Assisting with meal preparation and feeding,
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients
  • Communicating effectively with clients, their families, and other team members
  • Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in condition to the appropriate supervisor

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • 6 months' experience in a UK care setting
  • Valid Right to Work in the UK
  • Relevant qualifications and certifications
  • Able to demonstrate a compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to help others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable and responsible with a strong work ethic
  • Flexibility to work Days, Nights and Weekends
