Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Management Accountant to join our dynamic team in Hebburn. As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in providing financial insights, analysis, and guidance to support effective decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) and Finance Manager (FM) in maintaining effective financial controls and systems.
  • Implementation of new systems and processes in line with statutory requirements and group policy.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement approach across the full range of finance processes and capabilities.
  • Ensure accurate financial records are maintained in line with legislative and Group Accounting Policy.
  • Prepare the monthly management account information to trial balance level for areas of responsibility.
  • Support the year end statutory audit process, including preparation of reconciliations, collating evidence and documentation as well as liaising with auditors to resolve audit queries.
  • Analyse project expenditure and communicate this to project managers.
  • Collaborate with managers in setting standard costs for manufactured goods including material unit and hourly operating costs.
  • Collaborate with senior managers and heads of department to provide support and advice on a range of financial, non-financial and performance areas.
  • Preparation of targeted financial and commercial analysis, along with KPI dashboard development.
Requirements
  • Qualified with CIMA or qualified by experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' previous experience in a similar, reporting management accountant role.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Previous experience in budgeting, forecasting and costings, analysis and insight and investment appraisal and evaluation.
  • Excellent IT skills, proficient with applications such as MS Office, design software and social media platforms.
  • Excellent time management skills, be a forward thinker with the capability to plan ahead in a fast-paced environment.
