Senior Occupational Therapy Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.
As a Senior Occupational Therapy Specialist, you will be responsible for providing assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services to individuals with complex mental health needs, focusing on women's services.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including specialists in drama therapy, art therapy, and music therapy, to provide holistic care that addresses the physical, emotional, and social needs of our service users.
The successful candidate will have a Diploma or BSC(Hons) in Occupational Therapy, registration with the HCPC, and experience in leadership and management. They will also have a strong understanding of trauma-informed care and a commitment to working in a recovery-focused model.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions to individuals with complex mental health needs
- Develop and deliver individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Lead and manage junior staff members and contribute to the operational management of the service
- Enhance the skills and knowledge of staff members through training and development programs
