About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Services Engineer to join our team at Electus Recruitment Solutions. This is a permanent role that presents an outstanding opportunity for you to demonstrate your engineering expertise and make meaningful contributions to innovative projects.

The Opportunity

  • As a Building Services Engineer, you will assume ownership of the suite of Building Design Guides, reviewing and updating them periodically to ensure they meet the latest industry standards.
  • You will engage with domain experts to incorporate standardized engineering solutions into project conception, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible outcomes.
  • Review and assess proposed deviations from the design guides to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Prepare estate major maintenance and lifecycle plan budgets to ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Advise on the condition of the estate and conduct ongoing detailed assessments of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services to identify areas for improvement.
  • Work with FM site operations managers to prioritize works based on business objectives and building conditions, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible service.
  • Lead the transition towards a proactive approach to asset management in line with ISO55001 principles, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible outcomes.
  • Represent the FM Operations team as the ultimate recipient of any new installations, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible service.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in the field of Building Services Engineering, particularly in Mechanical Engineering and the design and specification of Mechanical installations.
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including the preparation of scope of works and performance specifications for planned maintenance and Capital works packages.
  • Knowledge of asset management principles, such as ISO55001, and the ability to efficiently implement standardized engineering solutions.
  • Familiarity with the assessment and implementation of energy-efficient solutions, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible outcomes.
  • Ability to act as a Senior Authorising Person with responsibility for the Mechanical Safety Rules, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible service.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • CEng and Member of CIBSE would be desirable, but not critical.

Requirements

  • Government Security Clearance or eligibility for Government Security Clearance.
  • British Citizenship or dual nationality with British Citizenship.
