At ISS Facility Services UK, a leading provider in the facilities management sector, we are seeking to enhance our engineering capabilities by appointing an Engineering Services Supervisor. This role is pivotal in overseeing the engineering operations at a newly established production facility.
The facility comprises two extensive warehouse structures that support intricate and essential production processes. The primary objective is to maintain uninterrupted production and prevent any financial losses due to operational halts.
The maintenance team consists of four skilled engineers—two specializing in electrical systems, one in mechanical systems, and one in building fabric maintenance—supplemented by external contractors for specialized tasks.
This position will involve managing the engineering team and reporting directly to the General Manager.
This site presents a complex and engaging environment, necessitating a confident Engineering Supervisor who can collaborate effectively with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage functions typical of a facility maintenance and utility operations team.
- Assess and monitor performance to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Implement corrective measures to address any issues that arise.
- Familiarize with the operational guidelines set forth by the account management team.
- Collaborate with the Facility Manager to optimize staff utilization.
- Assign tasks for work tickets and preventative maintenance work orders to the operations and maintenance team.
- Resolve issues within established procedural frameworks.
- Ensure timely completion of preventative maintenance and work orders each month.
- Maintain up-to-date and organized operations and maintenance documentation, including drawings and manuals.
- Review and update standard operating procedures as necessary for site operations.
- Ensure effective storage and inventory management of spare parts, tools, and service equipment.
- Dispose of unusable tools and materials in accordance with management directives.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure safe and efficient maintenance and project execution, prioritizing the safety of all personnel and the integrity of critical operations.
Qualifications Required:
- Electrical and/or Mechanical qualifications along with some leadership experience.
