Senior Mental Health Nurse

The Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced nurse to join our team. As a Band 6 Quality Nurse, you will be responsible for managing a defined caseload of service users within our specialist neuropsychiatric setting. You will work alongside other members of the Neuropsychiatry team to provide a service for patients with Non-Epileptic Attack Disorder, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and Epilepsy. Your key responsibilities will include enhancing service users' recovery and enabling self-management of symptoms. You will also support the multidisciplinary team in managing patients with Non-Epileptic Attack Disorder, Chronic Fatigue, and Epilepsy, liaising with Community Mental Health Teams and co-working with patients where appropriate. You will monitor and evaluate treatment plans for people with Non-Epileptic Attack Disorder, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and Epilepsy, liaising with multidisciplinary agencies to ensure an effective care package is delivered. You will set quality standards, including monitoring and reviewing in line with current clinical guidance practice and policy. You will establish therapeutic relationships with service users and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions with appropriate boundaries in accordance with Nursing and Midwifery Councils' professional code of conduct. The successful candidate will have experience in working with community patients and the ability to travel independently when necessary.
