Nurse Practitioner

A unique opportunity has arisen for a skilled Mental Health or Learning Disability nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team at HMP Birmingham. As a leading NHS service provider, we work closely with various partnership agencies to deliver exceptional care.
We are expanding our services with a focus on Secondary mental health, Trauma, Personality Disorder, Dementia care, and Learning Disability & Autism. Our 24hr healthcare environment is equipped with a 15-bedded assessment service and a Community Mental Health Team that offers similar services to those experienced in the wider community.
Main Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of the Deputy Ward Managers, Clinical Team Manager, and Service Manager, the post holder will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for those experiencing mental health and learning disability & neurodiversity.
- The post holder will have a working knowledge of local and national policies and legislation that govern current service provision.
- They will be responsible for identifying and contributing to the training needs of others and promoting issues of equality, diversity, and rights in accordance with good practice legislation.

- Qualification for Mental Health or Learning Disability nursing
- NMC registration or if a student pending
