We are seeking an experienced Learning and Development Professional to join our team as a Children, Education and Families Learning and Development Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families in Cambridgeshire.

About the Role

This role involves providing inspiring leadership that drives the development and delivery of learning and development interventions for colleagues in the Children Education and Families (CEF) workforce. You will be responsible for developing best practice solutions using in-house and external capability that aligns with CEF ambitions, its identified areas of focus, and specialist practice areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver learning and development interventions that meet the priorities and ambitions of the CEF workforce.
  • Provide management oversight and robust governance of our Apprenticeship and Qualifications Centre, which is subject to inspection by Ofsted.
  • Work closely with the Children's Social Care Academy Manager, colleagues, and stakeholders to develop best practice solutions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An excellent understanding of learning theories and methodologies.
  • Experience working in a similar role, preferably in a local authority setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
