**Job Title:** Learning Disability Specialist

**Location:** Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust

**Estimated Salary:** £53,212 per annum

We are looking for a skilled Speech and Language Therapist to work with adults with learning disabilities. The successful candidate will be part of the Cambridgeshire Learning Disability Partnership (LDP) team.

Key Responsibilities
  • To develop and implement effective speech and language therapy plans for clients with complex learning disabilities.
  • To provide training and supervision to other staff members as required.
  • To contribute to the planning and evaluation of learning disability services, including participating in projects as directed by the LDP management team.
  • To assess and treat communication and swallowing difficulties in adults with learning disabilities.

Required Skills and QualificationsEducation and Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Post-graduate qualification in Dysphagia
Work Experience
  • Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities
  • Management experience
  • Assessment and intervention skills in speech and language therapy for adults with LD
  • Dysphagia management experience in the LD population
