Job Description

The Podiatry Department at Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Band Advanced Podiatrist to lead the development of vascular services in the community.

This senior role requires a clinical expert with a Master's degree and suitable experience in managing vascular, high-risk, and diabetic foot conditions. The successful candidate will work in both acute and community settings to provide high-quality care to patients with active foot disease.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and extend community vascular services, working alongside the Principal podiatrist and the team.
  • Apply advanced clinical practice skills to ensure rapid diagnosis, optimisation, and treatment of patients with active foot disease.
  • Operate appropriate clinics across the county and oversee the management of complex foot cases.
  • Supervise Band podiatrists, facilitating smooth step-up and step-down processes, and overseeing the signing off and reviewing of competencies.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree level education with suitable experience in vascular, high-risk, and diabetic foot management.
  • Working knowledge of x-ray and blood interpretation to optimise patient care.
  • Ability to work at advanced practice level and prescribe medications.
  • Willingness to undertake non-medical prescribing qualification if not already achieved.
