Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at BDB Pitmans LLP. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to partners, managers, and employees on all generalist HR matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generalist HR
    • Drive business performance in relation to organizational objectives in collaboration with senior members of the HR team.
    • Lead on absence management, ensuring employees are supported and areas for concern are addressed promptly.
    • Research, design, and implement firm policies to ensure compliance with legislative changes and alignment with the firm brand.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices.
    • Ensure adherence to all relevant policies, procedures, and legal requirements in accordance with GDPR regulations.
    • Support and guide managers through critical annual HR cycles, ensuring processes are executed on time, including PDRs and salary reviews.
    • Manage employee relationships and resolve grievances, conducting mediation meetings as necessary.
    • Handle HR matters reliably and in accordance with current legislation and firm policy.
    • Assist the HR Business Partner in reviewing performance management.
    • Train line managers on current employment legislation and future changes.
  • Resourcing
    • Collaborate with Heads of Department and line managers to develop succession planning and advise on recruitment and selection strategies.
    • Assist the Resourcing Advisor in seeking authorization for recruitment and coordinating the process.
    • Manage maternity, paternity, and shared parental leave, ensuring necessary information is provided to the Payroll & Benefits Manager.
    • Coordinate the salary review process in a timely manner, in conjunction with the wider HR team.
  • Projects
    • Support the wider HR team with ad-hoc projects.
