Job Summary

Miles Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly organized HR Generalist and Compliance Specialist to join its Human Resources team.

About the Role

This dynamic position plays a pivotal role in supporting employee development and adherence to quality standards. The ideal candidate will administer human resources functions, focusing on training initiatives, quality assurance processes, and continuous improvement strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support all departments with recruitment processes from advert to onboarding.
  2. Ensure job vacancy details are accurate prior to advertisement and correct approval process has been completed.
  3. Review job descriptions and person specifications with the Head of Department to ensure they are fit for purpose, inclusive, and relevant.
  4. Manage various Recruiter accounts; posting vacancies, reviewing candidates.
  5. Shortlist candidates and arrange telephone and face-to-face interviews.
  6. Support the Head of Department with interviews if necessary.
  7. Carry out pre-employment checks; including Right to Work checks, references, DBS checks, qualification/professional membership checks.
  8. Carry out appropriate checks for GPs and Nurses (GMC, National performers checklist, Medical Indemnity, NMC) and review annually.
  9. Maintain relationship with candidates throughout the recruitment process and keep them updated at all times.
  10. Prepare and send Offer letters and Employment Contracts on behalf of the Heads of Departments and Practice Manager.
  11. Ensure effective communication with Finance dept on new starters and key departments aware of pending new starters.
  12. Set up new recruit role IT i.e. TTP, email address, smartcards, TeamNet account.
  13. Create electronic and online HR files for all new starters; ensuring all documentation is accurate and correct.
  14. Keep staff hours log updated monthly and checked by the Heads of Departments.
  15. Keep employment contract spreadsheet up to date.
  16. Responsible for arranging induction sessions and thorough onboarding process as per the Induction Policy.
