Miles Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly organized and dedicated Human Resources and Compliance Specialist to join their team.

Job Overview

This dynamic role supports the organization's employee development and adherence to quality standards, playing a pivotal part in HR functions such as training initiatives and quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support all departments with recruitment processes, from advertisement to onboarding.
  2. Evaluate job vacancy details for accuracy prior to advertisement, ensuring compliance with approval processes and regulations.
  3. Collaborate with department heads to review and update job descriptions and person specifications, ensuring they are fit for purpose, inclusive, and relevant.
  4. Manage various Recruiter accounts, posting vacancies, reviewing candidates, and shortlisting suitable applicants.
  5. Arrange telephone and face-to-face interviews, providing support to interview panels as needed.
  6. Conduct pre-employment checks, including Right to Work verifications, references, DBS checks, and qualification/professional membership verifications.
  7. Perform annual reviews of GPs and Nurses' status, ensuring adherence to GMC, National Performers Checklist, Medical Indemnity, and NMC regulations.
  8. Administer health questionnaires, addressing significant diagnoses or health issues that require intervention or support.
  9. Maintain relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process, keeping them informed at every stage.
  10. Prepare and send offer letters and employment contracts, ensuring signed copies are returned by new staff members.
  11. Coordinate effective communication with the finance department regarding new starters, ensuring key teams are aware of pending hires.
  12. Configure IT systems for new recruits, setting up email addresses, TeamNet accounts, and other necessary tools.
  13. Create electronic and online HR files for new employees, maintaining accurate documentation and archiving leavers' records.
