Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supplier Development Teams are responsible for finding and developing suppliers to support the strategic sourcing organization in driving incremental performance in supplier quality, delivery, price, and service. They teach new suppliers on how to work with TE, including portal access, e-procurement tool usage, and TE procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop strategies to improve supplier performance
  • Collaborate closely with key suppliers to achieve process control and quality system improvement, delivery performance and lead time improvement, cost reduction and productivity improvement, supply chain effectiveness improvement and optimization, and capacity increases
  • Coach the team in assessing supplier capabilities to ensure suppliers can reach the level of performance and capacity required to meet business needs
  • Assure compliance to business procedures and team accountability
  • Work with Operations and Business Support teams to obtain resources that will support the Supplier Performance team strategy
  • Teach suppliers and team members on how to work with TE TEOA Tools, including the Supplier Portal, TE procedures, DPA & DLT, Problem Solving Tools, etc.
  • Ensure monthly performance reviews and quarterly business reviews processes are sustained
  • Work as support/coach for various TE manufacturing sites, focusing on improving supplied material availability and inventory optimization
  • Track and communicate key supplier performance metrics
