Director of Patient Safety and Quality Improvement

Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to fill the role of Group Director of Patient Safety and Quality Governance.
About the RoleThis is a key position that requires a strategic thinker who can lead the Trust's quality governance efforts and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in quality improvement and patient safety, with experience of leading cross-functional teams and driving change initiatives.
Main Responsibilities- To develop and implement a quality governance strategy that aligns with the Trust's vision and goals
- To lead the development of policies and procedures related to patient safety and quality
- To work closely with stakeholders to identify and address quality and safety risks
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders. They will also have a strong understanding of NHS policy and legal frameworks, as well as experience of managing budgets and resources.
Requirements- Masters level education in a healthcare field or equivalent experience
- Evidence of self-development and continuous development
- Substantial experience of clinical and/or corporate governance at a Senior level
- Good understanding of NHS policy, legal and inspection framework
- A competitive salary of £85,000 per annum
