Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Finance Support Officer to join our team at Abacus Consulting in Luton.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive support in financial matters, ensuring the effective working of procedures, policies and the legal framework. This will involve undertaking a range of administration duties to ensure a high-quality support service is provided.

The ideal candidate will have experience in finance, strong communication, organisation and IT skills, with a proactive and professional approach. They will be expected to work collaboratively as part of the Administration team and support in the main reception area.

Duties:

  1. Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently
  2. Monitor online payments and reconcile accounts
  3. Manage the purchase ledger, purchase orders, invoices and petty cash
  4. Support audits and maintain business records
  5. Utilise online finance programs to streamline processes
  6. Assist in maintaining lettings and other administrative tasks

This role would be suitable for someone who is passionate about finance and possesses the necessary skills to excel in this position.

About the Role

This is a full-time 12-month Fixed-Term Contract opportunity based in central Luton. The salary for this role is £25,000 (School term time). Our client offers excellent benefits, including free parking, 8 weeks holiday and gym membership.
