About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Advisor to join our ESOL team at West Herts College. As a Learning Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting students whose first language is not English, helping them to develop their personal, social, and academic skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tutorial sessions and one-to-one and small group interventions to support students in and out of the classroom
  • Work closely with cross-college colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective support system
  • Keep accurate records of student progress and engagement
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement effective support strategies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with a diverse range of students
  • Experience of working with learners whose first language isn't English, particularly in an FE setting
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently
  • Excellent communication and record-keeping skills
