As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing first-line technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and collaborating with our team to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to helpdesk requests and provide timely resolutions to technical issues
  • Take helpdesk calls, log, and track calls to ensure efficient issue resolution
  • Perform hardware and software repairs in a workshop facility
  • Install hardware and software, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime
  • Conduct network documentation and reporting to maintain accurate records
  • Assist in sourcing spare parts and replacement equipment to minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with the technical team to perform maintenance tasks and installations

Requirements:

  • Experience in hardware repair and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • General office administration skills
  • Well-organized and self-motivated individual
  • Good telephone manner
  • Able to work independently in the field
  • Comfortable working in an education environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship
