An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic professional to join G4S Business Unit: US Youth Services as a Communications Centre Team Lead, based in our Leeds office. You will be responsible for overseeing the health, safety, and welfare of field-based personnel through regular check-ins and effective escalation when needed.

The National Communications Centre operates on a 4 on 4 off days and nights shift pattern, offering flexibility and work-life balance. Shifts are 12 hours long, resulting in a minimum of 42 contracted hours per week. There are four teams in the department, each led by a team lead and consisting of three further operators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and address the health, safety, and welfare concerns of field-based staff.
  • Produce timely and accurate incident reports for circulation and escalation to management.
  • Provide out-of-hours support to operational management teams across the country.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for all G4S staff.
  • Support operations teams in utilizing processes and systems effectively.
  • Deploy security personnel across the country according to client contractual requirements.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks to support data collection and organization.
  • Act as the first point of contact for general public inquiries and client base enquires out of hours.
About the Role:
  • A background in the security industry is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience working in a contact/communications centre would be beneficial.
  • Ability to prioritize workload under pressure and collaborate with the team.
  • Familiarity with spreadsheet creation and data manipulation is an advantage.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail are necessary.
  • Proactive approach and understanding of exceptional customer service.
