We are looking for a dedicated Community Support Specialist to join our team at Brainkind Neurological Centre York. As a Community Support Specialist, you will be trained to provide personalized support to our adult residents, following individualized support plans tailored to meet their unique needs and aspirations.

The focus is on developing independent living skills, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, exercise, leisure activities, and socializing. You'll gain job satisfaction from seeing the people you support do more for themselves and live the life they want.

  1. Have genuine empathy for our residents, with positivity, patience, and resilience to support them through their rehabilitation.
  2. Enjoy teamwork and take pride in getting the job done well.
  3. Have excellent face-to-face communication skills and a good standard of literacy.
  4. Have good time management skills and the ability to prioritize your workload.

This role comes with an estimated salary of £13.50 per hour (incuding weekends and bank holidays), along with 33 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays (pro rata). We also offer excellent training and support, nationwide employee staff discounts, and Blue Light Card providing discounts online and in-store.
