About the Role

We are seeking a talented Specialty Doctor to join our Older Adults service at Berrywood Hospital in Northamptonshire, as part of the Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the SAS on-call rota, providing cover for Adult, Old Age, and Learning Disability Services.
  • Collaborate with consultants and trainee doctors to deliver high-quality care.
  • Hold Section 12(2) Approval and contribute to the team's clinical expertise.

Person Specification

  • Essential
    • OMRCPsych or equivalent qualification
    • Full GMC Registration
    • Minimum 4 years SHO or higher grade in psychiatry
    • Previous old age psychiatric experience
    • Eligibility or approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act
  • Desirable
    • Additional postgraduate qualifications
    • Experience in writing psychiatric legal reports
    • Management training
