Senior Clinical Lead Psychiatrist in Low Secure and Specialist Rehabilitation
2 months ago
We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to lead our multi-disciplinary team in the Low Secure and Specialist Rehabilitation Division at St Andrew's Healthcare.
As a Senior Clinical Lead Psychiatrist, you will have the autonomy to make decisions that drive improvements in patient care and outcomes. You will be responsible for overseeing the management of patients with complex needs, promoting innovation and service development, and growing your remit and responsibilities.
The role offers a unique opportunity to work in a supportive environment, develop and deliver up-to-date treatments, and influence the direction of services. You will have access to resources such as an office, associate specialist support, and a full multidisciplinary team dedicated to your wards and service.
Our aim is to provide high-quality assessment, care, and treatment, helping patients to progress to the least restrictive setting. We value and embrace each individual's unique qualities, using compassion to be inclusive, motivated, open, and honest. Our teams drive continuous improvements for our patients and treat everyone with equal respect, trust, and dignity.
The ideal candidate will have an interest in working with patient groups such as Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD) with co-morbid Disordered Eating, mental illness for male/female adults and older adults, and PICU or Acute Services treating acute admissions to stabilize and step down to a low secure environment.
You will have opportunities to undertake non-clinical activities of interest, such as research, teaching, governance, and management, in an innovative way. The post-holder will also have the chance to promote innovation and improvement of services, with scope to develop their specialist interests and grow their remit and responsibilities.
We offer a competitive salary package up to £150,000 depending on experience, a range of benefits including pension, 32 days of annual leave, free parking, sickness policy on par with the NHS, secretarial support, and more. Located centrally in the UK with great transport networks to London and the midlands, this role also offers excellent schools and properties at good value for money.
This is a personally and professionally rewarding role that allows you to make a difference for yourself and your patients. If you want to join an organisation that values passion and leadership, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
