About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Orthoptist Specialist to join our team at Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of the Orthoptic department, you will contribute to providing a comprehensive quality service for all patients referred to the department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients with various conditions, including specialist groups such as children and adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, neurological problems, and more.
You will also develop and manage treatment packages, instruct patients and their carers on care compliance, and conduct visual field testing with Ophthalmologists, Neurologists, and other medical practitioners.
This is a permanent full-time position based at Northampton General Hospital, with some single-handed clinics at Danetre Hospital.
