Pychiatry Specialist for Older Adults

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced psychiatrist to join our team as a Psychiatry Specialist for Older Adults. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in old age psychiatry and be able to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in the on-call rota, providing cover for Adult, Old Age and Learning Disability Services. They will also be expected to participate in clinical research and/or service evaluation, and to motivate and develop junior medical staff and other MDT members.

Requirements:
  • MRCPSyCH or equivalent qualification
  • Full GMC registration
  • Minimum of 4 years SHO or higher grade experience in psychiatry
  • Previous old age psychiatric experience
  • Eligibility or approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act
Salary:

The estimated salary for this role is £85,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Location:

The post will be based at Berrywood Hospital in Northampton.
