HSQE Advisor: Compliance Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will provide expert guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality audit programmes. Your primary responsibility will be to help maintain and improve our Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Management Systems, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and client requirements.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced HSQE advisor to join our team in this exciting role. The successful candidate will work closely with our sites to promote HSE best practices, stimulate ongoing improvements, and develop documented procedures to drive business growth.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and managing internal and external HSE risk-based programmes for allocated sites;
- Conducting regular site visits, producing detailed reports, and ensuring that all recommendations are implemented;
- Maintaining awareness of new processes, techniques, and changes to legislation that impact our operations;
- Investigating accidents and dangerous occurrences, providing thorough reports detailing causes, conclusions, and actions to prevent reoccurrence;
- Collaborating with the training department to secure regular safety training for employees;
- Completing fire and facilities audits, as well as risk assessments.

Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will need:
- A strong understanding of HSE principles, including ISO9001 and SharePoint;
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines;
- Able to work independently and as part of a team;
- Great communication and interpersonal skills;
- Competency in carrying out noise and lighting surveys, delivering manual handling training, and other related tasks.
We offer a competitive salary range of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as annual leave, pension scheme, life assurance, and wellness initiatives.
