Job Title: Financial Manager

We are seeking a skilled Financial Manager to join our team at Emerson Group in the UK. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the cost accounting aspects of our manufacturing/assembly location in Cumbernauld, Scotland. Your primary objective will be to ensure accurate recording of costs, close monitoring of overhead spend, and control of certain balance sheet records, all in accordance with Emerson procedures.

In this role, your responsibilities will include ensuring accounting policies align with relevant accounting standards, reviewing prepayments and accruals prepared by GFS, leading the site's non-production overhead costs within CGS and SGA, and preparing variances analysis. You will also be responsible for ownership of cost centre reporting and reviews with cost centre managers, E&D tracking and control of costs, preparation of POR, and month end Control File balancing. Additionally, you will submit monthly finance schedules to HFM, liaising with the Financial Controller.

Your salary will be around £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications. If you have a relevant university degree and 2-4 years of work experience, or are part qualified accountant with proven cost control experience, we encourage you to apply.
