Our client, a leading fuel storage business, is expanding into Solar and Hydrogen plants and seeking a Commercial Enquiry Development Engineering Lead to join their team.

This role provides technical leadership to the commercial team and oversees the continuous development of engineering processes and standards in line with the organisation's values and strategic model.

The successful candidate will champion improvement to the organisation's processes and culture, ensuring customer satisfaction, team development, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Enquiry Management: Oversee the receipt and analysis of customer enquiries, ensuring all technical and commercial requirements are met.
  • Pricing and Quotation Strategy: Develop and approve accurate and competitive pricing strategies based on customer specifications and market conditions.
  • Technical Support: Provide high-level technical support to customers throughout the enquiry and bidding process.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Ensure accurate records of customer enquiries, pricing decisions, and FEED study outcomes are maintained.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related field).
  • Chartered Engineer with a minimum of 10 year's experience in a similar role within the engineering or manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in pricing and cost estimation, proficiency in engineering design software and tools, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Financial acumen and budget setting, full driving licence, and knowledge of project management processes, hydrocarbon, chemical storage, handling legislation and guidance, and process safety awareness.
