Second Chef

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Second Chef to join our team at Howdens Garden Centre. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food production and cleaning processes.

The Role

As a Second Chef, you will work closely with our Head Chef to prepare and cook a wide range of dishes, from fresh ingredients to hot and cold food orders. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, contributing to the ordering process, and maintaining high standards of food hygiene and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including hot and cold food orders
  • Monitor stock levels and contribute to the ordering process
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and presentation
  • Work efficiently to minimize waste and optimize kitchen operations
  • Assist with cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and working areas

Requirements
