Job Title: Principal EC&I Engineer

Babcock International Group is seeking a highly skilled Principal EC&I Engineer to join our team in Plymouth, Bristol, or Rosyth. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in the design and development of electrical and electronic systems for our marine projects.

The Role

As a Principal EC&I Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of electrical and electronic systems, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards. You will work closely with our team of electrical and electronic engineers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement electrical and electronic design solutions for marine systems, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
  • Provide electrical and electronic design support, including preparing and checking design documentation, reviews, estimates, and schedules.
  • Supervise and control work to time, cost, and quality, ensuring that projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
  • Produce and approve calculations, analyses, drawings, models, design basis documentation, and technical reports, in accordance with project requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high level of developed knowledge and experience in electrical and electronic engineering, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects. You will also need to have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
